The last decade has seen a wide variety of manga series developed into various television series and movies. There have been successes with anime movies such as Demon Slayer Mugen Train and Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Still, this success does not diminish the continued development of various manga series and tv shows. 2023 looks big for anime, so we will cover some upcoming anime you should look out for. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3
One of the most anticipated pieces of anime scheduled to come out in 2023 comes in the form of Attack on Titan. You don’t have to be an anime fan to know just how popular this anime series is. For those who don’t know, Attack on Titan is a manga series set in a world where humanity lives within cities surrounded by enormous walls. These walls protect humanity from gigantic man-eating humanoids known as Titans.
The main plot follows a character known as Eren Yeager, who is trying to take down the Titans after they destroy his home and kill his mother. Originally starting as a manga series, the series is now a television series, and that’s the main focus of what we are talking about here, with the final season currently running.
The final season is known as season four and started in 2020. The first part of the season ran with 16 episodes, with the second part running two years later at the start of 2022 with 12 episodes. The third and final part of this final season will likely have similar episodes. However, don’t be surprised if the number of episodes is actually shorter in length. This will likely be because there is not much source material left. Keep an eye out in 2023 and enjoy whatever comes your way.
High Card
High Card, sometimes styled as HIGH CARD, is a multimedia franchise created in Japan by Homura Kawamoto, Hikaru Muno, and TMS Entertainment. It will release across 2023 in a few different forms, including a manga series, a novel series, drama C.D.s and a television series. Studio Hibari will create the T.V. series, and the original run is projected to run at the start of 2023.
This anime has a lot of hype around it, as it proves to be something a little bit different to what some are used to with anime. We will follow a character known as Finn, who is trying to save his orphanage. The twist is that Finn ventures out to a casino to try and make a fortune to save the day. There are many twists along the way, which we will leave for the anime itself.

Star Wars: Visions Season 2

Happily, Lucasfilm allowed these studios to have free rein to do what they wanted with concepts within Star Wars. Following the first season’s success, the second season is poised to release at some point in 2023. This time, however, it looks like a variety of shorts will be released from studios worldwide.
While we don’t know the full details right now, it looks like we will see stories from studios based in the U.K. and Ireland, as well as Spain and France. Don’t be surprised if we see season two of Star Wars Visions be less anime and more global. This will mean the show is accessible to everyone, whether you’re into anime or not.
The Klutzy Witch
You have been missing out if you’ve never heard of The Klutzy Witch. This was originally a children’s book series created by Satoko Narita, and the story follows the characters in a world filled with witches and wizards.
As you can probably imagine, one character, a witch, is a bit klutzy. This is our main character, known as Fuka. We follow her story as she tries to break the seal of a dark witch who is trying to destroy the world.
The series was originally launched back in 2006 and currently comprises around 17 novels and a book of short stories. While we haven’t seen a new book in almost a decade, it’s finally time for an appearance on the big (or small) screen. This will be one to look out for whether you read these books as a child or looking for a beautiful world to fall in love with.
Sailor Moon Cosmos
Sailor Moon is an anime that most have heard of, similar to Attack on Titan. With Sailor Moon Cosmos, we will see a two-part movie to cover the final arc of the Sailor Moon manga. This series has been long in the waiting, even if it has only been a short time since Sailor Moon Eternal ended only a couple of years ago.
Without going too much into the plot details, we know a little bit of the Sailor Moon Cosmos synopsis. We know that a new enemy is targeting the Sailor Guardians, ending the peace they had previously won. The cast for the movie will remain the same, and Yasuharu Takanashi will return to compose the music.
As mentioned, this two-part movie set will be an adaptation of the Sailor Moon manga. This should give everyone something to get excited about, whether you’ve read the manga or not. Look out for this movie during the summer of 2023, as that is when we should expect to see it.
