The Vinland Saga manga by Makoto Yukimura is serialized under Kodansha’s Weekly Afternoon manga magazine, which as the name suggests is a monthly magazine where a new chapter is released usually between the 24th-26th of every month. The last chapter came out on November 25th and therefore Vinland Saga chapter 199 will be out on December 25, 2022.

What is Vinland Saga about?
Vinland Saga is seinen historical manga written by Makoto Yukimura. Yukimura launched the series in Japan in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2005 but was moved to Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine later that year. Animation studio WIT adapted the same into a 24-episode anime in 2019.
Set in 11th century Europe, Vinland Saga tells a bloody epic in an era where violence, madness, and injustice are inescapable, providing a paradise for the battle-crazed and utter hell for the rest who live in it.
The series centres around Thorfinn the son of one of the Vikings’ greatest warriors, but when his father is killed in battle by the mercenary leader Askeladd, he swears to have his revenge. Thorfinn joins Askeladd’s band to challenge him to a duel and ends up caught in the middle of a war for the crown of England.
