Absolute Duo is a fantastic fantasy-harem anime series with action elements, so it’s no wonder that fans are asking if Absolute Duo will have a season 2.
The main character of this anime series is Tooru Kokonoe, the only known person in the series to have an Irregular Blaze.
The story is about Tooru, who attends the Kouryou Academy High School to gain power and avenge his sister and friends. At the academy, he meets Julie Sigtuna, who becomes his partner.
How many seasons of Absolute Duo are there? The anime television series Absolute Duo has only had one season, directed by Atsushi Nakayama and animated by Studio Eight Bit.
The first 12-episode Absolute Duo television anime series premiered in Japan in January 2015.
Since then, this series has amassed a sizable fan base that is still waiting for Absolute Duo Season 2 Episode 1 or some sequel.

Will there be Absolute Duo Season 2?
Absolute Duo Season 2 will almost certainly never happen. Absolute Duo, unfortunately, was not a profitable anime adaptation.
That is why the second season of this anime was never announced, and why it is really unlikely that it will ever be.
The Absolute Duo anime didn’t make any profit. Absolute Duo Blu-Ray sales average around 1,200 copies, which is low, and there is practically almost no merchandise or figures made for this series.
Also, the last volume of the light novel sold only around 10,000, and that after the anime adaptation, so I don’t think there is any hope for Absolute Duo season 2.
The unfortunate thing is that there is still enough material to adapt for a new season. In Japan, there are 11 volumes available, but only four have been adapted thus far.
Based on what is currently available, one to two extra seasons could be animated, but a sequel to this series has a near 0% chance of happening.
If you’ve given up hope that a new Absolute Duo season will ever be released, you can start reading the light novel from volume 5 since the anime covered volumes 1 to 4.
Absolute Duo Season 2 Release Date
There is no official release date for Absolute Duo Season 2 because a second season was never confirmed, canceled, or announced, so there is no countdown, and a release date is pretty doubtful to be ever announced because a second season will most likely never get announced.
I would love to say that there is still some chance of this series getting a new season and a release date.
However, after researching how well the anime did and the fact that the Absolue Duo light novels have already concluded, I believe the chances are close to 0% in 2021.
Nothing about this series appears to be profitable enough for a second season and there is nothing to promote anymore since the series is finished.

Many anime fans would be thrilled if Absolute Duo anime Season 2 was announced, but it will most likely never happen. I would recommend you to go read the light novels if you want to continue the story of Absolute Duo because a second season is not happening.
