The anime series Air Gear, known as Ea Gia in Japanese, is based on a popular sports manga of the same name that was first published in 2002.

Air Gear is a great futuristic sports anime with action elements loved by people worldwide, which follows Itsuki Minami, who tries to fulfill his dream of reaching the sky and ruling the skies.
Itsuki’s dream is to one day become the most skilled storm rider ever along with this crew.
The anime television series Air Gear has only had one season released so far, directed by Hajime Kamegaki and animated by the studio Toei Animation. After the first season, the series got 3 OVAs.
There has been no word on whether or not the director or studio will return for Air Gear Season 2.
The first 25-episode Air Gear television anime series premiered in Japan in April 2006. Since then, this series has amassed a sizable fan base that is still waiting for Air Gear Season 2 Episode 1 or some sequel.
Will There Be Air Gear Season 2?
Air Gear Season 2 will never happen. Unfortunately, the Air Gear anime was not a financially successful adaptation. That is why the second season of this anime was never planned, and the studio that animated it moved on.
Furthermore, the series was finished in 2012 with volume 37, thus there is nothing to advertise.
The Air Gear anime failed to make a profit. The average number of DVD sales is roughly 1,350. That is low, and there is also almost no merchandise and only 30 figures manufactured for this series.
Also, the latest volume of the manga sold only approximately 150,000 copies, and that was after the anime adaptation, so I don’t believe there’s any chance for a season 2 of Air Gear.
In addition, the studio that animated this series, studio Toei Animation, has moved on to more profitable series like One Piece, Dragon Ball, and PreCure.
As a result, there is no reason why the production committee would ever agree to fund another season of this series.
Air Gear Season 2 Release Date
There is no official release date for Air Gear Season 2 because a second season was never confirmed, canceled, or announced, so there is no countdown, and a release date is never going to be announced because a second season will never get announced.
This is one of the anime sequels where I can confidently state that a new season and release date will never be announced.
There are simply too many factors working against this series to ever receive additional anime projects.
Even the source material is over for more than ten years.

Where Can You Watch Air Gear?
You can watch the Air Gear anime series on Hulu. Currently, it’s not available to watch on Amazon Prime Video or even Netflix in the USA. It was also previously on Funimation, but they merged with Crunchyroll, and it’s not there.
