Mob Psycho 100 is a great supernatural action anime with comedy elements loved by people worldwide, which follows Shigeo Kageyama, also called Mob, who is maturing and trying to understand his role in society.
To control his psychic skills, Mob enlists himself under the wing of Arataka Reigen, a con artist claiming to be a psychic.
The anime television series Mob Psycho 100 has three seasons so far, directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, Takahiro HASUI, and animated by studio Bones. There are also two OVAs focused on Reigen.
There has been no word on whether or not the director or studio will return for Mob Psycho 100 Season 4.
The first 12-episode Mob Psycho 100 television anime series premiered in Japan in July 2016. Since then, this series has amassed a sizable fan base that is still waiting for Mob Psycho 100 Season 4 Episode 1 or some sequel.
Will There Be Mob Psycho 100 Season 4?
Mob Psycho 100 Season 4 will never happen. Unfortunately, the Mob Psycho 100 anime adapted all the available source material, that’s why a fourth season is not planned. The ending is conclusive, and there isn’t much else they can do with the plot.
Furthermore, the series concluded in 2017 with volume 16, thus there is nothing to advertise anymore.
The Mob Psycho 100 anime earned a decent amount of money. Mob Psycho 100 Blu-Ray sales average around 2,000 copies, which is decent. There is also a huge amount of Mob Psycho 100 merchandise, with 2,200 pieces and 30 figures.
Also, the latest volume of the manga sold only approximately 35,000 copies, and that was after the anime adaptation. The anime was also really popular on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll.
In short, the anime series Mob Psycho 100 received a complete adaptation despite not being a massive cash cow.
As a result, there is no reason why the production committee would ever agree to fund another season since it’s fully adapted.
Mob Psycho 100 Season 4 Release Date
There is no official release date for Mob Psycho 100 Season 4 because a fourth season was never confirmed, canceled, or announced, so there is no countdown, and a release date is never going to be announced because a fourth season will never get announced.
This is one of the anime sequels where I can confidently state that a new season and release date will never be announced.
The simple fact that there is no source material left means it won’t get a fourth season, but it can receive additional anime projects like OVA or movie in the future.
Most likely studio Bones is done with this series so I wouldn’t bet on it, but an OVA is always possible or something with anime original content.
