The Tokyo Ravens light novel series is written by Kōhei Azano and illustrated by Sumihei.
Tokyo Ravens is a great action-supernatural series with bits of Onmyoudou magic elements loved by people worldwide, which follows Harutora, the main protagonist and the son of the Tsuchimikado clan.
Along the way, Harutora teams up with Natsume, a prodigal onmyouji, and his childhood friend.
The anime television series Tokyo Ravens has only had one season so far directed by Takaomi Kanasaki and animated by Studio Eight Bit.
There has been no word on whether or not the director or studio will return for Tokyo Ravens Season 2.
The first 24-episode Tokyo Ravens television anime series premiered in Japan in October 2013. Since then, it has amassed a large fan base that is still waiting for Tokyo Ravens Season 2 Episode 1 or some sort of sequel.
Will There Be Tokyo Ravens Season 2?
Tokyo Ravens Season 2 will never happen. Unfortunately, the Tokyo Ravens anime was not a financially successful adaptation. That is why the second season of this anime was never planned, and the studio that animated it moved on.
Furthermore, the series is on a 5-year long hiatus since volume 16, thus there is nothing to advertise.
The Tokyo Ravens anime failed to make a profit. The average number of Blu-Ray sales is roughly 2,250. That is low, and there is also almost no merchandise and zero figure manufactured for this series.
Also, the latest volume of the light novel sold only approximately 20,000 copies, and that was after the anime adaptation, so I don’t believe there’s any chance for a season 2 of Tokyo Ravens.
In addition, the studio that animated this series, studio Eight Bit, has moved on to a more profitable series like Slime anime or Blue Lock.
As a result, there is no reason why the production committee would ever agree to fund another season of this series.
Tokyo Ravens Season 2 Release Date
There is no official release date for Tokyo Ravens Season 2 because a second season was never confirmed, canceled, or announced, so there is no countdown, and a release date is never going to be announced because a second season will never get announced.
This is one of the anime sequels where I can confidently state that a new season and release date will never be announced.
There are simply too many factors working against this series to ever receive additional anime projects.
Even the source material is no hiatus for the fast five years.
